Clemmie Jordan Burns

Forest Park West

Stonewall, LA.- Funeral services for Clemmie Jordan Burns, 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday September 23, 2008 at Berean Baptist Temple. Officiating will be Pastor Olan McDaniel. Interment will follow in Forest Park West.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Drive.

Mr. Burns was born August 1, 1935 to Luther and Willow Mae Burns in Linden, TX. He was a distributor for the Houston Chronicle. He served in the Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Vickie Lynn Burns; step-son, Robert Rumsey and sister, Betty Lodita. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Nell Protho Burns of Stonewall, LA; son, Jimmy Burns and wife Angel' of Stonewall, LA; daughters, Robin Burns of Stonewall, LA and Audrey Burns of Frierson, LA; sister, Dean Hicks Owens of Houlka, MS; brother, William (Bill) Burns of Dubberly, LA; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Gasper, Mark Garner, Louie Prothro, John Colding, Oscar Lara, Chris Watson, Craig Watson and James Favers. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Owens, Dakota Burns and Cameron Burns. Rose-Neath Funeral Homes, Inc. Southside Chapel (318) 687-1256
