Richard Perry Paddie
STONEWALL, LA - Richard Perry Paddie went to be with the Lord, January 29, 2009 after a two year battle with ALS. Perry was born in Zwolle, Louisiana December 9, 1951 to Rheet and Laverne Paddie. He worked in the tow boating industry for 34 years. Starting out as a deck hand and progressing to the wheel house. He enjoyed his work very much but regretted the time he had to be away from his family.
Perry loved to hunt and camp at different RV parks and just be outdoors.
Besides his wife and children, Joy and Jason, his other loves were his special boys, AJ, Simon, Ben and Beau, all who meant the world to him.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, LA on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rheet Paddie; brother, Curtis Paddie and nephew, Richard Procell.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rebecca Paddie, son Jason and daughter Joy, all of Stonewall, LA; mother Laverne Paddie of Zwolle, LA; sister Wanda LaRue (Donald), Annette Paddie, both of Zwolle and Myrtle Miller (Paul) of Florien, LA; brothers Johnny Paddie of Zwolle, LA and Robert Paddie of Keithville, LA and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, at his request, a donation may be made to the donors' choice.
