Laurel Jeane Gingles

STONEWALL, LA - A memorial service for Laurel Jeane Thompson Gingles, 45, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Stan McGee.

Laurel was born on August 15, 1963 in Fresno, CA to Lindsey and Jeanne Thompson. She passed away into the arms of her Lord on May 3, 2009 from a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Stonewall, LA where she was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Laurel was a graduate of Stonewall High School, Tyler Junior College and Co-owner of Ken-Lar Construction, Inc.

Preceding Laurel in death were her grandparents, J. L. Thompson, Molly Johnston, and John Prestridge; and brother, James "Lin" Thompson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Kenneth Gingles; parents, Lindsey and Jeanne Thompson; sons, Brandon Veuleman and wife, Sasha, and Wade Veuleman; step-sons, Dakota Gingles and Randall Clark and wife, Leslie; step-daughter, Natalie Clark; grandmothers, Edith "Pat" Thompson and Doris Prestridge; mother-in-law, Sarah Gingles; brothers, Dennis Thompson and wife, Michelle, and Sean Thompson and wife, Amy; sisters, Carol Hartman and Shannon Reed; grandson, Elijah Cash Veuleman; step-granddaughters, Makayla MacDougle, Isabella and Autumn Clark; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
