Eva Dunn

GRAND CANE, LA - Graveside service for Eva Dunn, 97, will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009, officiating the service will be Reverend Ken Norton. The family will receive friends at the Grand Cane United Methodist Church in Grand Cane for fellowship following the service.

Eva was born September 8, 1911 in Pearl, MS to Charles and Viola Odum and passed away in Mansfield, LA on January 16, 2009.

Preceding Eva in death were her husband William Joseph Dunn; parents Charles and Viola Odum; brothers Alton Odum, James Guy Odum, Don Brinson Odum and J. W. "Jay" Odum; and sisters Bertie Thigpen, Marie Wells, Bea Sharp and Mary Jackson.

Left to cherish her memory are her son William Joseph Dunn, PhD and wife Carol; daughters Mary D. Odenwelder and Anna M. Dunn, PhD; brothers Charles Odum and wife Louise and Bill Odum and wife Ethma; sister Katheryn Clawson and husband William; grandchildren Molly, Eva and Will Dunn and Laura Harvelle; and great-grandchildren Mary Catherine Gioeli and Nicky Harvelle.

Pallbearers will be Henry Payne, Ed Campbell, Sonny Ragsdale, Johnny Odum, Ron Odum, Severn Doughty, and David Odum. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Lane, Howard Wilcox, Max Upchurch, James Bradburry, Ray Glover, George Glover and Clarence Dupree.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Leigh Dillard.
