John W. Blue

HOT SPRINGS, AR - Beloved husband, father and grandfather, John Wesley Blue, 71, of Hot Springs, passed away June 21, 2009. He was born August 6, 1937 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Herman Wesley and Della Angie (Berry) Blue. John retired as a welder in the manufacturing industry. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Mansfield, Louisiana. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Fred Blue.

Loving survivors include his wife, Lillian Blue, of Hot Springs; son, Brian Wesley Blue, of Mansfield, LA; daughter, Glenda Kay Hall, of Shreveport, LA; stepsons, Matthew Cassady, and his wife, Julie, of Colorado Springs, CO, Norman Rigsby and wife Belinda of Winnie, TX; stepdaughters, Chandra Pate and her husband, Aaron, of Glenwood, AR, Sue Rigsby of Mansfield, LA; brother, Harvey Blue, of Circleville, OH; sister, Elaine Blue of Haughton, LA; sister, Diane Korman of Haughton, LA; grandchildren: Kelly Ann Shelton, Nikki Baker, Gerald D. Baker III, Matthew Blue, Andrew Morris, Mason Harvey, Emily Cassady, and Erin Cassady, Clay Gamble and Robert Gamble; 8 great-grandchildren and many family members and friends.

A memorial service in John's honor will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 7th at Antioch Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana.
