John Michael Guevara

SHREVEPORT, LA - "Now we see a dim reflection, as if we were looking into a mirror, but then we shall see clearly." I Corinthians 13:12

John Michael Guevara went to be with his Savior on April 7, 2009 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer and leukemia. He was born January 21, 1958 to John and Norma Guevara in Shreveport, LA. Michael retired from a career in insurance sales and management. He was an avid offshore fisherman in the Gulf of Mexico. He was dedicated to his children who were the love of his life.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Sue Guevara and grandfather, William Guevara. He is survived by his father, John W. Guevara and step-mother, Ann Guevara; grandmother, Elvia Guevara; son, John Taylor Guevara; daughter, Leah Marie Guevara; sisters, Linda Moore, Becky Culver and husband David; brother, Mark Alan Guevara; nieces and nephews, Courtney, David, James and Lily.

Services celebrating Michael's life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 in Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, LA. Rose-Neath Funeral Home , Southside Chapel 687-1256
