Harold David Mitchell

O. E. Price Cemetery, Logansport

LOGANSPORT, LA- Services for retired MSgt. Harold David Mitchell, 79, were held at 2 PM, Friday, September 25, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Logansport, LA. Interment followed in the O.E. Price Cemetery, Logansport with full military honors. Officiating was Rev. Charles Hall, pastor of Longstreet Baptist Church and Rev. Lance Cypert, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Logansport, LA.

On September 23rd, 2009 Harold D. Mitchell was called home by his Lord to be with his wife of 50 years, Francis Mitchell. He served his country with distinction and pride in the United States Air Force for 27 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the Medical Corp and moved to Logansport where he settled as a gentleman farmer. He was born in Swank, Oklahoma to his parents Harrison David Mitchell and Rosie Edith Moore. He is the 7th of 13 children. He was raised in Clarksville, Texas.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by 3 sons, Jerry J. Mitchell, Ft. Worth, Texas, Clyde W. Mitchell and wife Lynn, Ft. Worth, Texas and Harold David Mitchell and wife Melissa , Logansport, LA, 1 daughter, Cathy Francis Mitchell Mackie and husband Steven, Tucson, Arizona, 3 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Scotty Mitchell, Robby Mitchell, Paul Sutherland, Jason McConathey, Shane Tingle and Buddy McCullen

Honorary pallbearer was Don David Pierce.
