Ray Smith

LOGANSPORT, LA - Funeral services for Ray Smith, 67, will held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel officiating the service will be Bro. Chris Collins assisted by Bro. Rick Harper. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 5:00 until 9:00.

Ray was born in Port Arthur, TX on June 4, 1941 to Morris and Tressie Smith and passed away at home on January 7, 2009.

Preceding Ray in death are his wife Sydonia Smith; parents Morris and Tressie Smith; father-in-law Henry Dyess and mother-in-law Ruth Dyess. Left behind to cherish his memory are his son Darren Smith and wife Michelle; brother Milton Smith and wife Jeanette; sister Wanda Faye Morris; grandchildren Dakota Smith, Carlie Smith and Elijah Smith; special friend Jesse Hayward; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Ray as pallbearers will be Kyle Smith, Terry Smith, Thomas Simpson, Joey Dyess, Burt Smith and Doug Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be his first cousins. Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Logansport, LA 318-697-4441
