R. G. "Cotton" Harris

Mansfield Cemetery

MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for R.G. "Cotton" Harris, 77, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel, officiating the service will be Reverend Larry Pridmore of Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Cotton was born October 8, 1931 in Longstreet, LA to Pete and Mattie Harris and passed away at home with his family by his side on January 21, 2009.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Wanda Harris; three daughters Glenda Harris, Donna Craig and Tamme Harris; three grandchildren Toby Chamberlin and wife Angie, Misti Tanner and husband Jason and Darrah Craig; three great-grandchildren Bailey Chamberlin, Morgan Chamberlin and Eli Harris Tanner and two special nieces Debbie Harris and Vicki Lynn Stoma.

Honoring Cotton as pallbearers will be John Garmany, Sonny Hall, Jimmy Granger, Joey Granger, Dewayne Brumley and Rhonny Valentine. Honorary pallbearers will be John Blanchard, Kermie Valentine, Tommy Woodward, Walter Lee, Bob Bufkin, Don Snead, Warren Harris and Gilbert Stoma.
