Funeral services for Ernest Cecil Russom, 80, of Alba were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, with Delton Alexander and G.D. Phillips officiating.  Burial was in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery near Golden, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home of Alba. Pallbearers were Gary Johnstone, Jimmy Maddox, Sherwood Harrell, Del Fansler, Kenny Briggs, and Robbie Smith.  Mr. Russom died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at a Quitman hospital.  He was born to Dude and Lillie Mossington Russom on Oct. 5, 1923, in Wood County.  He was a resident of Alba for most of his life. He was a decorated soldier in WWII and served in the Army Air Corps, and was a retired roughneck. He was a member of the church of Christ.  He is survived by a son, Neal and daughter-in-law Molly Russom of East Tawakoni; daughter and son-in-law Dayna and Randy McManus of Alba; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Margaret Sue Russom
