Magnet Cemetery
Wharton County, Cemeteries of Texas
Submitted by Lois Kennedy
Cemeteries of Texas Coordinator: Dolores I. Bishop
There are no remaining markers in the cemetery. The survey was done by Mrs. Lawrence Lock, of Wharton, on Feb 26 1991. Her note at the bottom of the survey reads as follows:
There are no remaining markers in the cemetery. It has been farmed and pastured for years. The Franz family removed the remains of three of their children years ago. Address of the cemetery is on Mauldin Rd east - pass the old school house about 1/2 mile.
An old map made by the Missouri, Lincoln Land and Trust Co. shows a plat for the cemetery on CR 145.
Another note says that all information was gotten from area residents, to the best of their knowledge. (To me, this is going the extra mile to get very good information).
