The Albert Horton Family Cemetery is located at 830 Lily Lane, but on private property in an undeveloped section of a subdivision that once was part of the Horton Plantation along Alabama Road in the Martin Allen League. It was opposite of the home A.C. Horton (the first Lieutenant Governor and Acting Governor, of the State of Texas) built on the north bank of the Caney Creek circa 1843 he referred to as Sycamore Grove. This section is still owned by a descendant of A.C. Horton. The original home was razed in 1961.
The small plot is fenced with an ornate wrought iron fence with a plaque stating: "Erected by W.J. Croom in 1925 in loving memory of his mother-in-law, Mrs. P.L.T. Dennis, wife of Col. I.N. Dennis, their two infant sons, Gov. A.C. Horton's mother, and Mrs. Sadie Dennis."
