Pansy Morris
1915-2005
Services for Pansy Stephens Morris, 88, of Dallas,
were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel,
Canton, with Pastor Ron Thomas officiating. Burial was in Haven of
Memorial Park, Canton. Pallbearers were Albert Coker, Dewey Morris, R.V.
Barnes and Monty Angel. Mrs. Morris died January 17 in Dallas.
She was born October 28, 1915, in Canton. She worked for Southwestern Bell
for 33 years. She held a life membership in the Telephone Pioneers of
America. She was a member of Rodgers Baptist Church in Garland for 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Woodrow Morris of Dallas, formerly of Emory;
daughters and son-in-law, Gayle and Bobby Weeks of Carrollton, and Alfreida
Seals of Dallas; grandchildren, Charles Weeks, Vickie Murphree, Regina
Woolbright, Dale Seals and Carmen Hogue; five great-grandchildren; sisters,
Marie Brown of Canton, Creta Stennett of Amarillo, and Sue Mayo of Lubbock;
brother, Benly Townsend of Mona, Ark. She was preceded in death by her
parents, John William and Clara Tillery Townsend; and husband of 59 years,
Oscar “O.B.” Stephens.
