CANTON — Johanna Parker Nicholson, 72, of Caddo Mills died April 23, 2006, in Caddo Mills following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Eubank Funeral Home chapel in Canton. Interment follows at Barrett Cemetery in Edgewood. The daughter of Lannie and Connie Junell Parker, she was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Fruitvale. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, and her sweet spirit will remain with all those who loved her. Surviving are two sons, James Elmo Nicholson of Little Rock, Ark., and John Edward and wife Charlie Nicholson of Caddo Mills; two brothers, Ralph and wife Iva Nell Parker of Fruitvale and Haywood Parker of Seagoville; a sister, Beat (Mrs. Eugene) Whitaker of Edgewood; and three grandchildren. A sister, Virginia Dugan, and two brothers, Robert Windle Parker and G.W. “Dub” Parker, preceded her in death. Pallbearers are Kenny Parker, Ken Lynch, Zack Watson, Eugene Parker, Douglas Parker and Douglas Parker Jr. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Parker.
