Jim Bell

Jim Bell, one of Smith County's splendid Citizens, died at his residence in west Troup Tuesday, morning at 11 o'clock after a lingering illness of some three months duration.

He was a good man, plain honest, straightforward, a good neighbor, husband and father and his demise makes vacant a place that can not be filled.

He leaves a wife and three sons, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death.

His remains were laid to rest in the Rucker Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev Blankinship conducting the funeral ceremonies.
