Pine Springs Cemetery

Located approximately one-half mile east of Hunt Cemetery at the site of the early Pine Springs Baptist Church. Many umarked graves. In the 1960 only three remained:
Leopard, John, Born South Carolina 1800--Died July 19, 1883
Haden, Child of James W. & Georgiana Rushton Haden
One marker, stone broke, "Clara K dau of ------. Footmarker said "C.V.K."
Also believed to be buried here is Lydia Ballow Pool.
Strangers traveling through the country in wagons and camped at the Pine Springs Church. While one group was there thaey slaughtered a pig,or beef or something and left the church so greasy and dirty until it received the epithet, "Old Greasy Kitchen."
