This Cemetery is located about 4.5 miles east of Mt. Enterprise, in Lawsonville Community. There are about 26 graves that are identifiable and 15-20 that are not identifiable. This is an old cemetery with the earliest grave 1864 and the last known burial in 1924. The cemetery is mostly black, but in the center of the cemetery near the crest of the hill is a large fenced off plot containing members of the Miles family, as well as two other deceased persons of different surnames (marked by an asterisk) These are supposedly the only whites buried in the cemetery, and the first blacks buried here were undoubtedly slaves owned by the Miles family.

The most striking feature of the cemetery is the Miles plot, which is about 30' by 50' and is enclosed by a spectacular wrought iron fence about 6 feet high with a large ornate gate on the north end. The fence itself is very rusty, but is about 90% intact. The Miles' markers are huge, extraordinary monuments, the largest being that Albert B Miles, and all are of a highly professional quality rarely seen in lost cemeteries and uncommon of the late 1800's
