Services for Phillip Jerome Hughey, 34, of Longview were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Clark officiating. He was born Sept 25, 1947 in Kilgore to Aurburn and Kelly Draper Hughey. He died Tuesday. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a Baptist.
Survivors include his father of Elkhart; two brothers Thomas Hughey of Elkhart and Roy Hughey of Longview; two sisters Linda Laminack of Hallsville and Sherry Wortham of Elkhart; three nieces and nine nephews.
Pallbearers were H.L. Hughey, G.T. Hughey, Horace Irwin, Jack Hughey, Dwey Cooper, and Jerry Woods. Burial was in Woosley Cemetery under the direction of Hood Funeral Home of Emory.
