M. A. Motes Dead
Mr. M.A. (Gus) Motes died at his home south of town last Saturday evening with brain dementia. The trouble thought to have been brought on by a fall which Mr. Motes got about a week prior to his death. Mr. Motes was nearly sixty-two years old, and was among our oldest settlers. His remains were buried in the family lot at the City Cemetery in Emory, Sunday evening. Rev. D.Y. Bagley, pastor of the Baptist church, conducting the funeral services. He leaves a wife and three children and other relatives to mourn his sudden death. The Leader offers its sincerest sympathy to the bereaved wife and orphaned children.
