Graveside services for Roger Spurger, 59, of Alba were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, at Colony Cemetery, Alba, with Bro. Louis Strehlow officiating.  Mr. Spurger died Tuesday, June 22, at Baylor Hospital in Garland.  He was born June 24, 1944, in Dallas, where he spent most of his life.  He was a machinist and a Baptist.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marsha Bennett Spurger of Alba; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Amy Spurger of Garland; daughter, Tracy Spurger of Plano; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Katerina Spurger of Garland; and one grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Royal D. and Joyce Crownover Spurger
