Charolette and Deborah Foshee were
so kind to provide us with this information. Logansport is the other side of the Sabine
River, and many Panola County Residents were buried in that area. For this reason, I will
list these 11 cemeteries with Panola County Cemetery Information.
The Smith Cemetery is located on land that was owned by William Henry Smith in the mid 1800's. The land is now owned by the Sutton Family. The cemetery is unmarked & has no headstones or markers of any kind. At one time some of the graves were covered with wooden shed's. The sheds remained until the early 1930's, but through time & exposure to the elements, the wood has long since disappeared.
