Directions: From Carthage, go southbound on U.S. Highway 59 South. At the intersection with Fm 2517, turn left on to FM 2517 and continue east bound, across the Sabine River. Just before the intersection with FM 31 S, Panola County Road 446, will intersect on the right. Turn right onto CR 446 and continue until CR 448 intersects on the right. The cemetery will be located in the southwest corner of that intersection.

The following comments were recorded by Don Austin in his privately circulated book "42 Lost Cemeteries":

"Located in thick woodland near an old roadbed that passes to the east of the cemetery. Only one grave was identifiable and its marker was broken into two pieces. There were remains of a second marker nearby, but no lettering was evident. Also there were two large holes and signs of fairly recent digging, possibly indicating attempts at grave-robbing.

"The cemetery was apparently fenced off with a net wire or barbed wire fence, but only a very small portion of it still remains, along with a rotted post here and there. There are believed to be only about a half-dozen graves here. In addition to William McDaniel (brother to a Henry McDaniel, whose leg is said to have been buried here), whose grave was identifiable. Two babies were also buried here, one of whom is said to have been the child of a woman named Alice Fielder, who was also buried here."
