Old Belgrade Wilson Cemetery
Newton Co. Cemeteries of TX
Submitted by Don Wilson
It is located on a hunting club and I couldn't get in for several years, during which time they had cut the timber and changed the roads around. It is located off the West side of Hwy. 1416 in Newton county, about 6 miles South of Bon Weir near the Sabine River. There is a Historical marker for Rev. Francis Asbury Wilson on Hwy 1416 where you turn off to go to the cemetery. The cemetery is in really bad condition due to neglect and Hurricane Rita. My brothers and I have planned to go there and clean it up next month.
