French's Cemetery

Frost-Navarro Mills, Navarro Co. Cemeteries of TX

My mother is the g-granddaughter of Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Elizabeth (Bason) Smith who lived near Frost/Navarro Mills. We were fortunate enough to be able to gain access to the Original French's cemetery near Navarro Mills through the kindness of the current property holder. We did not do a full survey of the remaining markers, but I did take  several pictures.

 The current property owner was very gracious, and expressed interest in erecting some sort of barrier around the remains of the cemetery, since many of the stones have already been knocked over/destroyed by cattle roaming the property.   In addition to the Bason family graves, several French family stones are still present at the cemetery, although I did not make a listing of those graves.   Here is one of the photos taken during our visit...taken from the road, looking toward the grove of trees where the remaining stones are located.
