The oldest known grave is that of Joseph Wood who was the husband of Amelia Singletary. Amelia was the daughter of Revolutionary Soldier Josiah Singletary and sister to Willis Singletary whose first wife was Mary Wood, believed by some to be a sister of Joseph. Willis and his second wife settled in Panola County.
