Howard B. Marshall, 67, of 3309 Caddo, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in a Greenville hospital.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today in the Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennie Koger and the Rev. Weldon Drake officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery with Larry Stovall, Leo Rhodes, Bobby Stovall, John Adkisson, Jackie Pennington, James Marshall, and Louis Marshall Jr., serving as pallbearers.
Born Feb. 12, 1905, in Hunt County, he was the son of J.A. Marshall and Mary Bell Millsap Marshall. He married Jewel Stovall 1925 in Greenville. He was the owner of Jewell's Dress Shop and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of which he was a deacon. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widow; one sister, Mrs. Ola Crisp of Greenville, and other nephews. His brother, Louis Marshall Sr., and one son, Howard Marshall, Jr., preceded him in death in 1940.
