Arthur Johnson (Greenville Herald Banner, June 21, 1990, A:2)

Services for Arthur Sebern Johnson of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. John White and Rev. Louise Welch officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Johnson died Tuesday at Citizens General Hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1904 in Miller Grove to Bloom and Emma Paschall Johnson. He married Dovie Hart on August 11, 1934. He was a retired school teacher, painter, and farmer and a member of Campbell United Methodist Church were he taught an adult Sunday school class for 40 years.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Otha Johnson, Rev. Aubrey Johnson and Bloom Johnson, and a sister Bertha Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Coy Johnson, Charles Johnson, Cullen Tucker, Randy Hyden, James Pemberton and Charles E. Hart.
