Stidham, Hubert D.

WOLFE CITY - Funeral services for Hubert D. Stidham of Wolfe City are scheduled for 3 p.m. today .at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jim Pledger will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. He died Monday in a Dallas hospital following an extended illness.

He was the owner of Stidham's Clothing Store when he died. He previously operated Stidham Cleaners and served as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and has served as choir director and soloist. He also served in various church offices. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors are his wife, Loree Stidham; a daughter, Sharon Ward of Dallas; a son, Steve Stidham; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Gardner, W.R.Hampton, Wayne McWhirter, Tom Robnett,

J.F. Whittemore and J.T. Woodruff.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the Organ Fund or the Memorial Fund of the First United Methodist Church.
