Deaths, John A. Perkins Services Today
WOLFE CITY - John A. Perkins, 83, 1924 Division St., Greenville, died at 6:10 a.m. in a Greenville hospital following an illness of two weeks.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Owens Funeral Home Chapel here with the Revs. B. J. Bell and W. O. Majors officiating. Pallbearers will be newphews (sic). Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
He was born July 11, 1882, in Tennessee, the son of Lee Perkins and Martha McBride Perkins. He came to Texas in 1901 and resided in Hunt and Fannin Counties. He was owner of the Hickory Creek store for 40 years.
He married Lillie Mae Young Jan. 2, 1934.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. S. E. Glasscock of Fort Worth and Mrs. W. C. Akers of Greenville; three brothers, T. T. Perkins of Celeste, Raymond Perkins of Irving and D. L. Perkins of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Wilcox of Dallas and Mrs. Beulah Wood of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren
