Lou Swindell Payne

Wolfe City--Funeral services for Lou Payne, 78, of Wolfe City are set for 2:00 PM today, February 23, 1984, at Owens Funeral Chapel with Wallace Mynatt and Dwight Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Mrs. Payne died Thursday morning.

She was born September 5, 1905 in Hunt County, the daughter of Judd G. Swindell and Beulah Sinclair Swindell. She was married to Herschel Payne on September 23, 1922 in Wolfe City. She was a member of the West Main Street Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons, Clifford Payne and Eugene Payne, both of Greenville; daughters, Neva Daniels of Celeste and Billie Warren of Greenville; brother, Louis Swindell of Grand Prairie; ten grandchildren, including Bobby Daniels, LuAnn Daniels, and Stephanie Daniels (Celeste graduates), and six great-grandchildren.

Owens Funeral Home of Wolfe City is in charge of the arrangements.
