Olan Owens

Tyler-Funeral services for Olan A. Owens, 80, of Tyler will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Bob Hogg officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Owens died Saturday afternoon in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Fannin County to Rufus S. and Clementine Swindell Owens. He married Ada Gilmer on Jan. 1, 1928, in Wolfe City. He was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sjerra Bailry of Conroe; two brothers, Wayne and Herbert Owens, both of Leonard; three sisters, Mildred Broach of Dallas, Cecil Mullinix and Vera Robinson, both of Leonard; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
