Lula Moore

WOLFE CITY - Funeral services for Lula M. Moore, 83, of Mount Vernon, will be at 2 p.m. today in Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Lowery and Rev. Gordon Nelms officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore died Wednesday in Mount Vernon. She was born Nov. 19, 1903, in Little River County, Ark., to Thomas K. and Margaret V. Dora Dunn-McDonald. She married James Corbett Moore April 3, 1918, in Greenville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wolfe City.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975.

Survivors include her sons, Alfred D. Moore of Seagoville, J.T. Moore of Wolfe City, Billy H. Moore of Mesquite, and Bobby D. Moore of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Margaret Robles of Mount Vernon; brothers, Eugene McDonald of Grand Prairie, and Jim McDonald of New Orleans, La.; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City is in charge of arrangements.
