WOLFE CITY - Billie Louise Milton of Wolfe City died Tuesday at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Riley Hamilton and Rev. Eldon Chester officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
The daughter of Silas E. and Minnie Belle Smith Yarbrough, she was born Sept. 11, 1923 in the Hickory Creek community near Wolfe City. She married Johnnie Lee Milton on Sept. 27, 1942 in Leonard.
Mrs. Milton had worked at Wal-Mart for the last five years and she worked with the United Way of Hunt County for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wolfe City.
Surviving are four sons and their families, Larry and Linda Milton and Lance, Jennifer and Julie of Greenville, William Everett Milton of Dallas, Joe Gay and Kathy Milton and John Thomas of Honey Grove and Marc and Karen Atkins-Milton and John Michael, Justin, Malia, Kara and Wayne Wilson of Greenville; a sister, Nancy Joe Haywood of Wolfe City; a brother-in-law and wife, Reuben and Frances Milton of Wolfe City and one cousin and husband, Jean Laverne and Louie Gene Monroe of Wolfe City.
Pallbearers are Bobby Joe Crosby, J.T. Woodruff, Bobby Owens, Ray Malone, Sam Marshall, Bernard Clayton, Jerry Pack and Dwight Gardner. Leon Denney, Hal Mullins and Bethel Henslee will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
