Berry Giles
DALLAS - Berry Giles died Monday in Stillwater, Okla. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Restland Memorial Chapel with Bill Berryman officiating. There will be a Blue Lodge service at the chapel at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City at 3 p.m. Saturday.
He was born March 9, 1918 in Aberfoyle. A lifelong resident of Dallas, he retired after 40 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was an active member of the Hella Temple Shrine in Garland.
He was a 50-year member of Excelcior No. 505 AF & AM in Wolfe City and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was an active member of Royal Order of Jesters Court No. 25 and was a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW, Commandry and Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife, Bunny Hinckley; children, Diane Moon of Los Altos, Calif., Giles Coulter Berry Jr. of Houston, Elaine Everitt of Dallas and Janie Lane of Sadler and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hella Temple's Cripple and Burn Children Fund at 2121 Rowlett Road, Garland, 75043.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
