Wolfe City-Funeral services for J. Sye Arnold, 84, a Greenville resident since 1975, will be at 2 p.m. today in Owens Funeral Home chapel. Rev. L.B. Morgan and Dr. Herbert Garrett will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Mr. Arnold died Tuesday in Citizens General Hospital.

He was born in Bailey Dec. 8, 1901, to William Jefferson Arnold and Martha Caroline Arnold. He married the former Fannie Lee Gilmer in Wolfe City.

Retired from Houston Lighting and Power, Mr. Arnold belonged to the First Baptist Church in Greenville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dave Arnold of Dallas and Robert Lee Arnold of Hoiuston; one daughter, Juanita Van Gorkon of Houston; two sisters, Myrtle Logan of Houston and Cleo English of Howe; ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
