Funeral services for Julius Brand, 87, of 225 Kavinport, Sherman, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Sorrells & Sons Chapel with Rev. Bill Self officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brand died at 4 p.m. Friday in a Sherman hospital following an illness of several years.
Born in Hunt County on Jan. 21, 1886, he was the son of Tom and Bell Hopper Brand. He was married to the former Opal Covington.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Brand of Sherman; nine sons L.J. Brand of Odessa; Jackie Brand of Sherman; Mickey and Richard Brand, both of Celina; Paul Brand of Greenville; R.L. Brand of San Antonio; Woodrow and Monroe Brand, both of Brashear, and Elmer Brand of Friutville; five daughters, Mrs. Lennie Braden of Frisco; Mrs. Betty Ishmael Celina; Mrs. Bernice Sudderth of Grand Prairie, and Mrs. Ruth Tipps of Greenville; and several grandchildren.
