Homer Lee Jones, 86, of Greenville died April 22, 2006, at the Greenville hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church of Neylandville with Rev. Vernon Minter officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Neylandville.  Born July 26, 1919, in Neylandville, she was the daughter of Albert and Manmahlia Pattillo Ardis. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.  Survivors are three sons, Horace Jones Sr. (Denise) of Birmingham, Ala., Roy Jones (Terry) of Greenville and Oliver Jones (Phillis) of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Fredia Anderson of Greenville and Charlene Mitchell (Harvey) of Sulphur Springs; a sister, Naomi Ruth Davis (Melvin) of Kansas City, Mo.; 35 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, three sisters and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home of Greenville.

Glenda M. Jackson, 42, of Greenville died Aug. 31, 2006. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Elem Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Davis officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Neylandville.  Born Dec. 29, 1963, in Greenville, she was the daughter of Jessie and Ruth Davis. She was married to Evender Jackson on Aug. 8, 1985, in Emory. She was a laborer and was a member of Jacksonville Community Church.   Survivors include her husband of Greenville; five sons, Victor Davis of Lubbock, Evender Jackson Jr. of Greenville, Sammy Davis of Littlefield, Leon Jackson of Greenville and Eric Jackson of Garland; two daughters, Jessica Jackson of Greenville and Cleshun Jackson of Garland; five brothers, Billy Ray Davis, Bobby Davis, Ronald G. Davis, Tommy Lee Davis, and John Davis, all of Greenville; seven sisters, Gloria Davis, Brenda Hunter (Larry), and Linda Caldwell (Johnny) of Garland, Velma Brown Smith of Greenville, Dorothy Carson (Jimmy) of Dallas and Annie Hamilton and Alice Woods of Dallas; and six grandchildren.  Her parents, two sisters, two brothers and one child preceded her in death.  Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home of Greenville.

Kenneth F. “Kenny” Thompson, 70, of Neylandville died Sept. 22, 2006, in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Supt. R.L. Price officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Neylandville.  Son of Virgil and Velma Fry Thompson, he was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Neylandville. He married Sarah Dunn in Los Angeles, Calif. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a laborer and a Baptist.  Cherishing his memories are sisters-in-law Sharon and Cheryl Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif.; nephews, Cleman Thompson (Gloria) and Edward Thompson Jr. of Los Angeles and Wayne Phillips (Shelia); two nieces, D. Monique Thompson of Los Angeles and Gwendolyn Bledsoe (Purvis) of Lithonia, Ga.; brother-in-law Henry Jones of Midland; an aunt, Allen Stiggers of Midland; and a host of cousins and friends.  His parents preceded him in death.  Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
