Harriett Evelyn Collins was born in Chanute,
Kans. on Jan. 14, 1919 to John Wesley and Addie Nance Collins. She moved to
Greenville as a child and spent most of her life there. She worked as an
accountant for the Herald-Banner for 40 years. After retirement, she lived in
Denton and then Flower Mound. She was and active member of the Kavanaugh
Methodist Church until she moved from Greenville. She preceded in death
by her aunt Marcia Nance, her sister Mary Springsteen, and her brother Walter
F. Collins, all of Greenville. Surviving are two nephews, Walter
F. Collins Jr. of Flower Mound and Terry Wayne Collins of Atlanta, Georgia.
Graveside services are at East Mount Cemetery at 3 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006
with Rev. Jim Goodwin officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.

Gerard Baham, 69, of Greenville, passed away
June 28, 2006, at his residence. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at
East Mount Cemetery with Rev. Randy Rather officiating. Peters Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements. He was born Nov. 4, 1936, in Meridian, La.,
son of Percy and Maria Angeletti Baham. On May 16, 2002, he married Kathy
Davis in Quinlan. He was a mechanic and of the Catholic faith. He is
survived by his wife, Kathy, of Greenville; daughters Stephanie Gordon of
Commerce, Jennifer Burleson and husband, Robert of Bastrop, Jeanine Baham of
Borger, and Angela Hall of Houston; sons Brian Polasek and wife Betty of
Quinlan and Jason Polasek of Mesquite; his mother, Maria of Louisiana; nine
grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts,
uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials
may be made to American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Donny Lee Dennie, 49, of Greenville were held at
2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, at East Mount Cemetery under the
direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hickman
officiating. Mr. Dennie died January 7, 2006 in Denton. He was born June
3, 1956, in Greenville to Henry Clifton and Annie Jewel Dennie. He is
survived by a son, Joshua Lee Dennie of Wills Point; a daughter, Angela
Dennie Jones of East Tawakoni; brothers, Alvin Dennie of Guner, Clifton
Dennie of Emory, Joe Mack Dennie of Dallas and David Dennie; two sisters,
Shirley Collins of Point and Ima Jean Dennie of Alba; and grandchildren,
Kolby and Lilly Jones of East Tawakoni and Erin Dennie of Wills Point. He
was preceded in death by his father in 1960 and his mother in 1994.

BEAUMONT — William L. “Billy” Yarbrough III, 48, of
Beaumont, died April 25, 2006, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont
Hospital. A native and former resident of Greenville and a resident of
Beaumont for several years, William was a 1975 graduate of Greenville High
School.
His parents, William L. Yarbrough Jr. and Dorothy O. Yarbrough, preceded him
in death. Survivors are his children, Jennifer Gwen Sedberry and her
husband Ron of Waco, William L. “Bubba” Yarbrough IV of Lindale, and
Alexandria Yarbrough and Katelyn Yarbrough, both of Llano; grandchildren
Ayress M. Yarbrough and Erica S. Yarbrough, both of Waco; and sisters Terry
K. Allen and her husband Larry of Beaumont, Deborah Yarbrough of Florida and
Lisa Yarbrough of Greenville. A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m.
Saturday at East Mount Cemetery in Greenville. Cremation arrangements are
by Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, in Beaumont.

BEAUMONT — William L. “Billy” Yarbrough III, 48, of Beaumont, died

Varah D. Luna, 97, of Greenville died Sunay, May 28, 2006, at
Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services are at 2
p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at East Mount Cemetery with Rev. Paul
Gould officiating. Mrs. Luna was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Hunt County;
the daughter of Buford Earle and Eula Ross DeFee. She was married to
J.D. Luna in 1935 in Greenville. The couple was co-owners of
several service stations and Luna Motor Company, a new car
dealership, in Greenville. She was a member of Wesley United
Methodist Church for more than 80 years and the Joy-Spurlock Class.
Surviving are nieces Angnes Bailey of Calera, Okla., Almeda Greer of
Cedar Park, Anna Mary Yates of Dallas and Varah Raye of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ross H.
DeFee; and sisters, Lottie Wendell and Reah L. Davis. Coker-Mathews
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ARLINGTON — John Thomas McAfee, 83, a contractor and
sportsman, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the
First Baptist Church in Arlington. Burial is in East Mount
Cemetery in Greenville. Mr. McAfee was born in Greenville. At
17, he saw combat as a field engineer in Germany. After the
war, he studied industrial arts at the University of North
Texas, where he and a classmate built a canoe they paddled down
the Mississippi from Minnesota to New Orleans. In the 1950s, he
joined the building boom in Arlington; building many homes and
even more dental and medical clinics all over the Metroplex.
When he wasn’t working, he liked to fly his airplane, ride his
horses and fish and hunt with his friends. His love of the
outdoors led him to develop a mountainous piece of property in
Colorado, surrounded by the San Juam National Forest that he
enjoyed sharing. He was a member of First Baptist Church of
Arlington and loved his Sunday School class. Survivors are his
devoted wife of 25 years, Janice McAfee; step-daughters, Jan
Anderson and husband, Zane, and Jo Lynn Baker; nephews, Mac
Martin and wife, Peggy, and J.T. Martin; niece, Martha Sue Meek
and husband, John; grandchildren, Jess and Josh Anderson and
Rusty, and John and Amy Baker; grand-nephew, Austin Meek;
grand-nieces, Jackie Hooks and husband, Corey, and Jeannie
Wildman. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Glenna Mae
Rich and Eleanor Grace Martin of Arlington. Visitation is from
6 to 8 p.m. today at Arlington Funeral Home, which is in charge
of arrangements.

Verdell Pierce, 75, of Fort Worth died the afternoon of
June 4, 2006, at North Richland Hills Hospital. Graveside
services are at 10 a.m. today at East Mount Cemetery under the
direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Joe Bishop will
officiate. Born June 30, 1930, in Greenville, he was the son
of John Ransom and Leona Grace Dellinger Pierce. He was a
Methodist. Surviving are brothers Vernon Pierce of
Greenville, Frank Pierce of Fort Worth and Jimmy Pierce and a
sister, Frances Thompson of Indiana. His parents and three
brothers preceded him in death.

Tommy Lewis “Wishbone” Anderson, 51, of Greenville,
died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Monday at St.
Paul Baptist Church in Neylandville with Rev. Vernon Mint officiating.
Burial is in East Mount Cemetery. Born in Greenville on Jan. 15, 1955, he
was the son of Charlie John and Frankie Mae Anderson. He was a laborer and a
member of True Vine Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Frankie
Mae Anderson of Greenville; two daughters, Meteshia Anderson of Greenville
and Mekesha Anderson of Sulphur Springs; three brothers, Manuel Lee Anderson
and Curtis James Anderson, both of Greenville, and Willie Dixon of Dallas;
seven sisters, Gloria Anderson, Alberta Runnels, Teresa Barrett and Linda
Miles, all of Greenville, Alice Anderson of McKinney, Linda Baylor of
Keithville, La.; and Sandra Johnson of Oakland, Calif.; and three
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, one son and one
sister. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at Cozine
and Tarver Funeral Home in Greenville, which is in charge of arrangements.

CASH — Jimmy Lloyd Brown, 52, of Cash, died Friday,
Sept. 29, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are

officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery. Born in Greenville on Jan.
27, 1954, he was the son of Billy James and Bobbie Faye Erwin Brown. He was
a veteran of the United States Army, a musician and a Baptist. He is
survived by his father, Billy James Brown; sons Darrell Brown of Fort Worth,
Dennis Paul Brown of Fort Worth, Joshua Brown of Austin and Stephen Brown of
Austin; daughters Mandy Brown of Oregon and Barbie Brown of Iowa;
step-daughter Heather Young of Austin; step-son Jeffery Young of Austin;
brothers Johnny Preston Jones of Oak Hurst, James Michael Brown of Mesquite
and Dennis Paul Brown of Greenville and sisters, Janet Belle (Brown) McNeil
of Garland and Gloria Ann Brown of Greenville. He was preceded in death by
his mother. Pallbearers are Clint Younger, Scott Younger, Bill Chaikoff,
Jack Wilson, Bobby McBride and Deryl Harrison. Visitation is scheduled from
6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cemetery, The daughter of Raymond C. and Mary Hensley, she was born Aug.
11, 1955, in Greenville. She was married to Glen E. Fuller Sr. in
Greenville. Mrs. Fuller was a homemaker and was a member of Clark Street
Christian Church. Survivors are her husband of Greenville; her father of
Greenville; a son, Glenn E. Fuller Jr. of Washington, D.C.; daughter
Ashley Fuller of Greenville; three sisters, Charlotte Wright and Omega
Hensely of Greenville and Billie Trim of Cleburne; and nephews and other
relatives and friends. Her mother preceded her in death. Visitation is
