Rose Johnson (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, May 19, 1992)
Funeral services for Rose Johnson, 60, of Miller Grove, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, in County Line Baptist Church (Hopkins/Rains) with the Rev. Troy Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Grove Cemetery with Woody Garmon, Lewis Watts, James Taylor, Johnny Wilbur, Ricky Claxton, Larry Reeves and Chris McGowan serving as pallbearers.
Lewis D. Woodard will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Tapp Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson died at 7:10 a.m. Monday at her residence.
She was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Collin County to Frank and Vera Sawyer Carter. She married Freeman Johnson on Dec. 18, 1965, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a 25-year resident of Miller Grove.
She was a member of Miller Grove Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Franklin Johnson of Lamar, Mo.; one daughter, Virgie Johnson of Miller Grove; two brothers, Dow Carter of Rowlett and Chuck Carter of Gainesville; one sister, Helen Burns of Louisiana; and one granddaughter, Amanda DeMuth of Sulphur Springs.
