Funeral services for Clyde C. Ferguson, 100, of Miller Grove will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Miller Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Benny Dixon officiating.

Burial will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery with Johnny Darrow, Brett Darrow, Gary Williams, Michael Anthony, Larry McElvy and Edd McElvy serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Darrow.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the funeral home.

Mr. Ferguson died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at his residence in Miller Grove.

He was born in Miller Grove on Jan. 14, 1901, the son of William Meek and Lou Bone Ferguson.

He married Lera Maude Darrow on July 13, 1929, in Hugo, Okla. She preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 1996.

Mr. Ferguson was a farmer and cattle rancher. He had served as trustee on the Miller Grove school board. He was also of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include two sons, Robert O. Ferguson of Arlington and Johnny Ferguson of Miller Grove; four daughters, Vallie McElvy of Cumby, Mary Lou Akins of Miller Grove, Ruby Dean Long of Fort Worth and Bonnie Callan of Mesquite; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Mattie and Bonnie Ferguson and Annie Garrett.
