Raymond Eaves (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, May 5, 1973)
Raymond R. Eaves, 55, 904 Alabama Street, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Hopkins County, son of Virgil and Alma Proctor Eaves. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic who had lived in Sulphur Springs for 12 years.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Alma Pair of Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Bibbs of Garland; two brothers, Bud Eaves of Fort Worth and Delmer Eaves of Eloy, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tapp Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Bugg officiating and interment following in Miller Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Tate, Richard Proctor, Buddy Proctor, Leonard Watson, Fred King and Leonard Vititow.
