Wade Darrow (Sulphur Springs News Telegram, 1982)

Wade E. Darrow, 65, Route 1, Cumby of the Miller Grove community, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 11, 1917 in Miller Grove, son of John D. and Willie Emma Johnson Darrow. He was a carpenter.

He married Lela Waskom Sept. 19, 1937 in Campbell. She survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Phillips of Sulphur Springs; three sons, Ronny and Johnny Darrow both of Sulphur Springs, and Brett Darrow of Miller Grove; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lera Ferguson and Mrs. Lorene Waskom, both of Miller Grove, and a brother, Boyd Darrow of Route 1, Brashear.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Miller Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Robert Ridley and the Rev. Jimmy Tarrant officiating. Burial will be in Miller Grove Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
