Funeral services for Mrs. Karla Sue DeMuth, 34, of Saltillo, were held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Tapp Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Ridley and the Rev. David Burns officiating. Burial was in the Miller Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Linzey Harland, Woody Garmon, Earnie Weaver, David Burns, J.N. Blanton and Ronnie Stewart.
Mrs. DeMuth died at 4:34 a.m. Sunday in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Greenville, the daughter of Freeman Johnson and Dorothy Bain Johnson. She married Edward Arthur DeMuth Aug. 12, 1979, in Sulphur Springs.
She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward A. DeMuth; a daughter, Amanda DeMuth both of Saltillo; her father, Freeman Johnson; a brother Walter Franklin Johnson of Miller Grove; a sister, Virgie Mae Johnson of Miller Grove; and two stepsisters, Connie Hill of Sulphur Springs and Kathy Bates of Princeton.
Her mother, Dorothy Bain Johnson, preceded her in death March 1, 1960.
