Paul Hollis Boone
Services for Paul Hollis Boone, 73, of Log Cabin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. Mr. Boone died August 23, 1999, in Athens.
He was born March 1, 1926, in Cisco to Peter Stephens Boone and Nellie Milvinie Honea Boone. Formerly of Dallas, he had lived in Henderson County since 1993. He served on the USS LST 754 in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of VFW Post # 4376 in Trinidad.
Mr. Boone was proceeded in death by his wife, Johnnie Jean Mitchell Boone; brother, Arles Edward "Tot" Boone of Riverside, Calif; and grandson Shawn Paul Kees.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Dell Williams of Log Cabin; son and daughter in law, John Paul and Margaret Ann Boone of Fort Worth; daughters and son in law, Holli Jean and Travis Roland Kees of Eustace and Kristi Lynelle Willard of Eustace; brother and sisters in law, Olney Floyd and Jewel Boone of El Cajon, Calif., and Grace Boone of Riverside, Calif; grandchildren, John Michael Boone, Jeremiah Scott Boone, Jacob Daniel Boone, Joseph Hollis Boone, Travis Roland Kees II, Aaron Hoke Kees, Landen Leo Willard and Kasey Elizabeth Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
