Owens

Leonard-Rueben Ray Owens, 75, of Leonard, died Friday in a Greenville hospital.

Funeral services will be  held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. David Riley officiating.  Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery.

Owens was born Feb. 23, 1904, at Leonard, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Owens.  He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church,

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Vernon Compton of Greenville; two nephews and one niece.  Owens was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beulah Compton.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard.
