May 8, 2008 - Funeral services for Martha Jean Collins, 76 of Leonard, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Leonard Manor. Family visitation was held Thursday, May 1, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.
She was born August 10, 1931 in Anna, Tex., the daughter of Allison P. Pruitt and Gracie S. Rowell Pruitt. She married Phillip Ray Collins on Oct. 5, 1953 in Leonard. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Jackie Ray Collins of Sherman; daughter-in-law, Hope Collins Rayburn of Howe; sister, Mary Waldrep of Celina; grandchildren, Phillip Ray Collins, Michael Jared Collins and James Cody Kremling; great-grandchildren, Angela Ray Collins, Phillip Ray Collins, Jr. and Audrey Mae Kremling.

Cox, Geraldine
Graveside services for Geraldine Cox, age 76 of Leonard, will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Leonard Cemetery with Charles Wrenn officiating. She died Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Leonard Manor.
She was born July 18, 1930, in Paris, Tex., the daughter of Otto Gant and Edith Morris Gant. She married Forest E. Cox, Sr., on June 18, 1949 in Paris, Tex. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Forest E. "Eddie" Cox, II and Beth of Leonard and Rusty Cox and Cyndy of Blue Ridge; daughters, Phoebe E. Head and Terri L. Melton, both of Leonard; sister, Louise Crump of Sulphur Springs, Tex.; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard, who has charge of arrangements.

Davis, Care Dee
Sept. 13, 2007 - Funeral services for Care Dee Davis, 89 of Leonard, were held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Leonard Church of Christ with Charles Wrenn and Steven Medford officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at the Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
She was born June 15, 1918 in Leonard, the daughter of John Dee and Carrie Marie Cooper Davis. She was a school teacher and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ.
She is survived by a brother, Fred Neal Davis of Leonard; sister, Luta Davis Gilstrap of Plano; sister-in-law, Wenona Davis of Leonard; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Franklin Davis and John Harold Davis; sisters, Leona Mae Davis and Billie Faye Watson Huntington.
Pallbearers were Randy Davis, John M. Davis, Jimmy Neal Davis, Billy Harold Davis, Jerry Scoggins, Billy M. Watson, Billy Dan Watson and Donald Fuller.
Family visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6 until 8 p.m.

Evans, Veta Earlene Parker
Funeral services for Veta Earlene Parker Evans, 90 of Leonard, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Morris Robbins officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
She was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Rayston, Tex., the daughter of William Franklin Parker and Jessie Mae Rushing Parker. She married Lewis Albert Evans Jan. 30, 1937, in Littlefield, Tex. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard.
She is survived by her daughter, Lou Evans, of Celeste; sister, Wilma Alexander of Littlefield; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Geneva Kincaid of Garland, Ruth Robison of Pleasant Grove, Kenneth and Martha Evans and Clifton and Betty Evans; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Fuller, Linda Imogene "Gene"
Funeral services for Linda Imogene "Gene" Fuller, age 82, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard. Gary Rice and Buddy Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, Jan. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Fuller died Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Windsor Care Center in Terrell, Tex.
She was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Celeste, Tex., the daughter of Robert Lloyd and Elizabeth Mae Swafford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie Fuller and her sister, Inez Swafford Alvey.
Mrs. Fuller is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Patricia Fuller of Lone Oak, Tex. and Roger and Shirley Fuller of Garland, Tex.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Vince Smith of Royce City, Tex.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Garrett, Kenneth
Funeral services for Kenneth Garrett, 85 of Leonard, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Rev. David Riley and Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. He died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at the Leonard Manor. Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
He was born April 13, 1921, the son of Ernest Garrett and Ethel McCrary Garrett. He married Josie Evelyn Fowler on Feb. 17, 1946 in Van Alstyne. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Blantons Chapel Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Evelyn Garrett of Leonard; sisters, Syble Reed of Bedford and Doris Janszen of Hurst; several nieces and nephews.

Grant, Joyce June
July 26, 2007 - Joyce June Grant, 77, died July 20, 2007 in Bonham, Tex., at the Red River Regional Hospital. She had been a resident at the Mullican Care Nursing Center for the past five months.
Miss Grant was born in Hugo, Okla., on March 3, 1930. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Iva Mae Brown and step-father Howard Brown.
She grew up in Bailey and later moved to Greenville, where she worked as a sewing machine operator at Henson’s. She also enjoyed working in and selling her ceramics and crafts, especially pottery and flower arrangements.
Surviving are her uncle, Billy Golden of Bailey; cousin, Sandra Sims of Bailey; second cousin, Amy Sims of Dallas and an aunt, Helen Green of Leonard.
She will be remembered for her contagious laughter, positive outlook and love of her animals. An intimate graveside service will be held at the Leonard Cemetery on Thursday, July 26, at 10 a.m. with Charles Wrenn officiating.

Grisham, Elizabeth
Dec. 13, 2007 - Graveside services for Elizabeth Grisham, 99, of Leonard were held Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Leonard Cemetery, Leonard, Tex., with Chaplain Robert Newton officiating and Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Grisham passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 6, 2007, at East Texas Hospice Homeplace in Tyler, Tex. Mrs. Grisham had resided in the home of her daughter, Carol and husband, Robert Newton, for the past four years.
Mrs. Grisham was born May 30, 1908, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Julius and Edith Lahn. She came to Texas in 1920 and was raised in the home of Rev. and Mrs. D.D. Archey of Bailey, Tex. She married James Albert (Abb) Grisham on Oct. 13, 1945 in Leonard, Tex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Grisham; all four siblings, Julius Lahn, George Meason, Anna Ross and Carolyn Watson; step-sons, Noel Grisham and Charles Thomas Grisham and step-daughter, Prebble Quinn. Mrs. Grisham was a homemaker and a friend to all who knew her and was a member of the Hickory Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Newton and Betty Crim, both of Jacksonville, Tex.; three step-children, Woodie Grisham of Salado, Tex., Pauline Morse of Dallas, Tex. and Martha Pace of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Audie Meason of Granbury, Tex.; four grandchildren, Christina Niette and husband, Scott, of Butler, Ga., Kimberly Owens and husband, Mike of Palestine, Tex., James Crim and wife, Wendy of Conroe, Tex. and Janna Crim and husband, Michael McMahon of Conroe; 11 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jenkins, Sarah Bernice
July 26, 2007 - Funeral services for Sarah Bernice Jenkins, age 95 of Mesquite, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard with Rev. Dan Carroll officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Sunday, July 22, at the Heritage Place in Mesquite. Family visitation was Tuesday, July 24, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
She was born Sept. 8, 1911 in Celeste, the daughter of James N. Compton and Ollie C. Craigo Compton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Celeste and worked at a clothing manufacturing plant.
She is survived by her daughters, Velda Hunter of Mesquite and Betty and husband, J.R. Hunt of Pasadena, Tex.; six grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. All of the grandchildren thought "Nanny" was the greatest.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Tedie Lee Raper, Lionel McCurley and Earl Jenkins; a son, James Lee Raper; son-in-law, Claude Hunter, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Miranda Hunt Twitty.

Lucas, Murrell Truett
August 30, 2007 - Funeral services for Murrell Truett Lucas, 82 of Leonard, were held Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Rev. Jim McIntire and Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation was Monday, Aug. 27, from 6-9 p.m. He died Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Sam Rayburn Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Bonham.
He was born March 27, 1925 in Randolph, the son of Coy Lucas and Evelyn Hicks Lucas. He married Jo Juan Watson in February 1949 in Dallas. After her death on March 24, 1977, he married Betty Jackson on June 20, 1986 in Bonham. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of the Grove Hill United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 60-year member of the Grove Hill Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Eastern Star, Whitewright Chapter.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Leonard; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ray Steele of Sherman and Sharon and Mike Mahan of Allen; brother, Hollis and Evie Lucas of St. Paul Park, Minn.; grandsons and wives, Lee and Celeste Steele, Truett and Shannon Steele and Clint Mahan; great grandchildren, Brittany, Jordon and Parker Steele; great-great grandson, Rome Garcia; stepdaughter and husband, Terri and Keith Stewman of Allen; stepson Bryan Jackson and step-grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, Catie and Hayli.

March 6, 2008 – Mary Evelyn Little, 84 of Leonard, Texas, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy, Texas.

MaryLittle was born August 18, 1923 at Collin County, Texas to James Thomas Wicker and Geneva Helen Brinlee Wicker.

Sept. 13, 2007 - Funeral services for Mary Emily McBroom, 89 of Leonard, will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Denny Gorena officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at her residence.
She was born April 24, 1918 in Leonard, the daughter of Cleve and Mattie Coleman Swift. She married Orvil Elvin "Bill" McBroom June 13, 1936 in McKinney, Tex. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard since 1942.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty R. Compton of Plano; grandchildren, Jan and husband Holland Smith of Plano, Doug Compton of Carrollton and Mark Hampton of Addison; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Meagan Smith of Plano.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 1995 and her son-in-law, Mike W. Compton.

Minchey, Charles Eugene
Dec. 6, 2007 - SHERWOOD SHORES – Funeral Services for Charles Eugene Minchey, 77, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. David Frierson officiating. Masonic Graveside Rites followed at Leonard Cemetery in Leonard. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mr. Minchey passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Charles was born Nov. 29, 1930 in Leonard to Charles Hughie and Maggie (Shafer) Minchey. He married JoAnn Smith on July 21, 1951 in Dallas. Charles worked for and retired from Glidden Paint Co. (ICI Paints) after 42 years of service. He was a member and deacon at Sherwood Shores Presbyterian Chapel. Charles traveled extensively with SR Travel and was a member of the Good Sam’s Club. He was also a member of Carrollton Masonic Lodge #1400 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include three daughters, Becky Kaufman and husband Bob of Carrollton, Paula Britnell and husband Rodney of Winnie, and Kay Hayes and husband Ricky of Bells; ten grandchildren, Jason Cobb, Chris Cobb, Stephanie Richard, Mathew Walls, Joshua Britnell, Amy Hewitt, Tracy Hayes, Ricky Hayes, Jr., Monica Bynum and Janella Britnell; four great-grandchildren, Adison Richard, Mason Walls, Maegan Hewitt and Caitlyn Valenciano; three sisters, Frances Estes of Abilene, Lois Sims of Whitewright and Sue Richerson of Allen; two brothers, James Minchey and Royce Minchey both of Leonard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Smith Minchey and his parents, Charles H. and Maggie Minchey.

Herman Eugene Ransom, 47, of Commerce died July 28, 2006, in Wolfe City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Price Temple Church of God in Christ, Greenville, with Bishop Jerry Potts officiating. Burial will be at Leonard Cemetery in Leonard.  Son of Jessie James McCallister and Annie Mae Ransom, he was born Dec. 18, 1958, in Kanawha. He was a laborer and was a member of Loving Praise Church in Garland.  He was loved, will be remembered for all the good times and will be missed.  Mr. Ransom is survived by sisters Willie Faye Fitus, Dortha Marshall, Argerean Ransom, Bettye Lou Walton, Emma Dorris Ransom, Mary Boyd, Trenia Evette Ransom, Barbara Lynn Hale, Linda, Tresia, Vickie, Cynitha, Phillis, Bill, and Patricia; brothers Ray Ransom, Danny Ransom, Wallace, James, Marcus and Green Jackie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  His parents preceded him in death.  Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home of Greenville.

Reid, Donna Jean
Funeral services for Donna Jean Luna Reid, 56 of Richardson, were held Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. at the Valley Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Seigler officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Wednesday, March 11, 2008, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
She was born July 11, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, the daughter of Don Ward and Maurine Mitchell Ward. She married Steve Reid on March 23, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a homemaker.

Rushing, John Dee
April 3, 2008 - Graveside services for John Dee Rushing, 80 of Leonard, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the Leonard Cemetery. Charles Wrenn officiated. Mr. Rushing died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Leonard Manor. Family visitation was held Monday, March 31 from 7-8 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Leonard and enjoyed coon hunting and raising coon dogs.
Mr. Rushing was born June 12, 1927 at Trenton, the son of Thomas Ray and Emma Catherine Rushing. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Donna Rushing of Leonard; a son, Ricky Rushing of Bridgeport; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Kenneth Hinsley of Leonard; seven grandchildren, Donald K. Stephens, Clinton Blake Hinsley, Austin Tyler Hinsley, Justin Glenn Rushing, Teresa Nixon and husband, Noel, John Robert Rushing and Clayton Rushing; four great-grandchildren, Haden Michael Nixon, Ryan Reed Nixon, Callie Stephens and Trinity Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Emma Rushing; his sister, Vida Baker and a brother, Ray Rushing.

Sagely, Jessie Imogene
Graveside services for Jessie Imogene Sagely, 90 of Wylie, formerly of Bonham, will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Leonard Cemetery. She died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Hillcrest Manor in Wylie.
She was born January 6, 1918 in Blue Ridge, Tex., the daughter of W.C. Bradford and Margaret E. Brown Bradford. She was a Baptist and a nurse’s aide.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Drake of Wylie and Jeanell Taylor of Greenville; sons, Bill Sagely of Leonard and Don Sagely of Bonham; sisters, Merle Brown of Dallas and Pauline Fuller of Branch, Tex.; brothers, Tex Bradford of Ben Wheeler and Bobby Joe Bradford of Farmers Branch; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sudderth, Inell Sowells
Nov. 29, 2007 - Funeral services for Mrs. Inell Sowells Sudderth of Leonard will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Leonard Church of Christ. Sam Dilbeck, Steven Medford and Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation was held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard.
Mrs. Sudderth was born July 17, 1916 at Delba, Tex., the daughter of Isaac Gowen Sowels and Mary Alice Ready Sowels. She died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville, Tex., at the age of 91. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ, the Friends of the Leonard Library and the Leonard Preservation League.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Sudderth; daughter, Nancy Robinson and her grandsons, Glenn Robinson, all of Leonard, and Gregg Robinson and wife Deanna of Whitewright; great granddaughters, Courtney Robinson of Leonard and Gracie Robinson of Whitewright; great grandson, Dane Robinson of Whitewright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Gowen Sowels and Mary Alice Ready Sowels; her husband, Joe G. Sudderth; sisters, Juanita Lowry and Mae Marshall; brothers, Leon Sowels and Ted Blevins; step-sister, Bonnie Sowels McClain; step-brothers, Ed Sowels and Bod Sowels and daughter, who died at birth, Sandra Jean Sudderth.

Watson, Iva Arnwine
Nov. 22, 2007 - Funeral services for Iva Arnwine Watson, 92 of Leonard, were held Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Leonard Church of Christ with Sam Dilbeck, Steven Medford and Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial was in the Leonard cemetery. She died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at the Leonard Manor.
She was born August 31, 1915 in Niota, Tenn., the daughter of Marshall and Emma Fair Arnwine. She married Clifford Garnell Watson Oct. 15, 1932 in Blue Ridge, Tex. He preceded her in death July 16, 1964 after a long battle with leukemia. After his death, she married Arthur Lee Brown in June of 1969. He also preceded her in death on July 4, 1987. She was a member of the Leonard Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was a beautiful lady, a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roby Charles and Sue Watson and Billy Dan and Barbara Watson, all of Leonard; sisters, Vida Williams of Dallas and Georgia "Bob" Tallant of Midlothian, Tex.; stepson and wife, Arthur Lee Brown, III and Betty of Sulphur Springs, Tex.; grandchildren, James Watson and wife Sheri of Leonard, Brenda Grubbs and husband Randy of Plano, Belinda DeVincentis and husband Nick and Bill Watson and wife, Jami, both of Leonard; step-grandchildren, Richard Lee Brown and Joy LeAnn Glenn; great-grandchildren, Paige, Payton and Preslie Watson, Abbie, Lexi and Trey DeVincentis, Bridget and Billy Watson, all of Leonard and Maddie and Will Grubbs of Plano.
Family visitation was Thursday, Nov. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Leonard’s Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, who had charge of arrangements.

West, Beula Ray
March 6, 2008 - Funeral services for Beula Ray West, 90 of Leonard, were held Thursday, March 4 at 2 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Brother Matthew Richard officiating. Burial was in the Leonard cemetery. She died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at the Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
She was born Feb. 24, 1918 in Valley Creek, Tex., the daughter of James Franklin Holt and Sally Ruthie Ann Holt. She was a seamstress and was of the Methodist faith. She married Howard West on Sept. 22, 1934 in Trenton, Tex.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna West of Dallas; sons, Harold Dean West of Leonard, Gerald Ray West of Leonard and Michael Lynn West of Waco; sisters, Jewel Dean Chesher of Grand Prairie and Ella Agnes Emma Lucille Reed of DeSoto; grandchildren, Christopher Glenn West of Lavon, Celeste Ellen Spencer of Gainesville, Kandace Lee Foley of Carrollton, Christy Lynn Horton of Denton, Brian Lee West of Roanoke, Debra Michelle Richard of Waco, Jordan Lyn West of Waco and Taylor Dean West of Waco; great-grandchildren, Zachary Peyton West and Blake Daniel West of Lavon, Tex., Cailee Dawn Horton of Denton, Colin West Spencer and Brooke Ellen Spencer, both of Gainesville.

Westbrook, Henry Eugene
Nov. 22, 2007 - Funeral services for Henry Eugene Westbrook, 76 of Leonard, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Kevin Lane officiating. Burial was in the Leonard cemetery. He died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at the Homestead center of Sherman. Family visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.
He was born May 18, 1931 in New Boston, Tex., the son of Harvey Westbrook, Sr. and Eula Mae Cates Westbrook. He married Vera Harrison on June 19, 1953 in Elgin, Okla. She preceded him in death. He was a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenter’s Union. He was a member of the Bois D’ Arc Creek Cowboy Church.
He is survived by his mother Eula Mae Westbrook of Garland; sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Cheryl Westbrook of Grand Prairie, Randy and Terri Westbrook of Munice, Ind., Tracy and Lisa Westbrook of Keller, Eric and Laura Westbrook of Leonard and David and Tammy Westbrook of Leonard; brothers, Howard Westbrook and Raymond Westbrook, both of Greenville, and Edward Westbrook of Mabank; grandchildren, Jayson, Jarrod, Braden, Courtney, Matt, Heather, Chelsea, Samantha, Taylor, Ethan, Patrick and Sara Westbrook and Anthony Brown; great-granddaughter, Cammie Westbrook.

Williams, Loyd B.
May 8, 2008 - Funeral services for Loyd B. Williams, 82 of Allen, formerly of Leonard, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard with Gary Spear and Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. He died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1925 in Pike, Tex., the son of Lon B. Williams and Lela Lee Ellard Williams. He married Geraldine Smith June 2, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a Methodist, a member of the Masons and a WWII Veteran.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Geraldine Williams of Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray Williams and wife Dana of Allen; son and daughter-in-law, James Lloyd Williams and wife Jan of Round Rock, Tex.; grandchildren, Drew and Ryan Williams.
