Ellis Co., Cemeteries of TX
Submitted by Rita Weldon
Sevier Cemetery is located FM Rd 566 west of Milford. Cross I35, left 1.2 miles, then right 1/2 mile, left 1/4 mile and right 3/4 mile and left to Sevier Rd, turn left on the rd. There is a sign on the right of the road stating SEVIER CEMETERY. Across from the sign is a private drive. You can enter the drive (close the gate) and travel down the road which stops about a quarter of a mile down at a tree line. You will have to go through a couple of gates before you get there (be sure to close gates as you pass thru so the cows won't get in). When you get to the tree line go left and follow the trees for about 2 city blocks. The cemetery is on the right with an iron fence around it. There is a combination lock on the 1st gate but, is usually open. If not push on the bottom of the lock and it will pop open.
There are several unmarked graves outside the iron fence.
Here are the ones buried with grave markers.
