ALLEN — Ernest Duran, 48, of Weatherford died
Aug. 11, 2006, in Weatherford. He was born Dec. 21, 1957, in Frederick,
Okla., to Joe and Elisa (Garcia) Duran. On Jan. 15, 1977, he married Brenda
Sperry in McKinney.
Mr. Duran earned an MBA from East Texas State University and was the
director of Human Resources for Lockheed Martin. He was also on the Board of
Directors for Goodwill Industries in Fort Worth and a member of the Knights
of Columbus. He was an active member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church in
Weatherford. Mr. Duran was a loving husband, father, son and brother who
will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Duran; sons
Danny Duran and wife Jessica and Micah Duran, all of Weatherford; a
granddaughter, Elaina Duran of Weatherford; mother of Colbert, Okla.; a
brother, Eloy Duran of Colbert, Okla.; sisters Erlinda Barnett and Erminia
Cantu, both of Colbert, and Yolanda Gann of Denison; and numerous other
loving relatives and many friends. His father preceded him in death. A
mass of Christian burial is scheduled at 11 a.m. today at St. Michael’s
Catholic Church in McKinney with Father Steven Bierschenk officiating.
Interment follows at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow
