Keltys Cemetery
Angelina Co. Cemeteries of TX
Submitted by Debra Coursey-Pitts
and son D J
KELTY'S CEMETERY : Lufkin,Texas Angelina County surveyed by Debra Coursey-Pitts. Estb.1875
Location: Off N Raguet to Commerce on site of
former property of Owens-Illinois Mill. (must have guard to unlock gate )
This is a VERY old cemetery , in much need of repair. There are numerous piles of
broken and misplaced grave markers lying about. Many are now overgrown by the
underbrush on the outer edges of the cemetery. This cemetery is BOTH
a cemetery for Whites & Blacks .. predominately Black.
***Please note***
Information on these gravesites is typed in order as I surveyed them, from back
to front, many family members are not buried together but
seem to be placed in a rather "hap-hazzard" fashion.
Many are no longer
readable, many are faded and discolored.
